Community Wide Education Network (CWEN) - A partnership between the school education, non traditional public education and the community to connect, coordinate or collaborate to create a healthy education environment and a healthy community.
A Community Wide Education Network (CWEN) holds the most promise in improving education and the overall health of the community. Currently, educators within school education and non traditional public education do not network enough, if at all among themselves, nor do they have for the most part, meaningful working relationships with the communities they serve to meet the needs of its students or their families. As a result, millions of students each year discontinue their education. We also know, there is a high probability these very same people will become a burden to the communities they will live in or worst yet, jailed or imprisoned leaving their family to fend for themselves or to seek the aid from the government. The CWEN can begin the process to reverse these trends, so we can remove the tears of pain, take away the misery and eliminate the heartache and replace it with a community that works for everyone who seek to better their life, the life's around them and the community they live in.
